Remembering John Overstreet

The Villa del Monte community mourns the loss of long-time water company board member, neighbor, and friend John Overstreet.

A resident of the Villa for over 20 years, John formed close relationships with many residents and could always be relied upon to welcome new families to the mountains. He could often be seen around the Villa visiting someone, picking blackberries, or checking on the water system. John was an immensely talented electrical engineer and helped countless friends and neighbors with projects, quirky mountain wiring, or just discussing the latest solar, EV, and battery news. John was also co-winemaker for Villa del Monte Winery, and could be found every month at the tasting room pouring samples, chatting with fellow winemakers and guests, and making everyone feel welcome.

John was a remarkable and generous man and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The Villa del Monte Mutual Water Company honors his legacy and memory.

Boil Water Notice Cancelled for Lower Skyview Terrace

March 07, 2025

UPDATED 3/11/25: We have received confirmation from the testing lab and the state that the water quality is restored to normal and the water is safe to drink. The boil water notice is cancelled. Details at this link.

As a result of the emergency water shutoff and repairs conducted on 2/28/25 and 3/1/25, members on Lower Skyview Terrace below Cove Lane remain subject to a boil water notice. If you lost water service during this incident, you are affected by this notice. We anticipate that we will be able to collect sufficient clean water samples by Tuesday 3/4/25 or Wednesday 3/5/25 to lift the notice for affected homes.
